My Passion

What is your passion?? I am passionate about many things! Number one, I am passionate about a real relationship with Jesus Christ. I believe that he is the only one that controls my destiny. I trust that he knows what is best for me and my family. John 3:16

My second passion is my family. My husband, my children, and my grandson Connor James. Connor entered our lives on August 25th 2013. He was a blessing and a miracle. He is a very intelligent child, with curiosity beyond imagination. Without my family, my life would be very different. My parents have passed, but I live everyday knowing that they are watching over me from HEAVEN. I still strive to do what I feel they would be proud of. I think they would be very proud of the accomplishments I have made. I miss them every day, but I know I will see them again.

Last, but not least, I have found a business that I have been fortunate to be associated with. I have learned many things, and have met wonderful people along the way that I shall cherish always. I believe that the timing was perfect for this venture I embarked on in 2010. With my mother's terminal illness, and a job that would never give me the satisfaction that I have now with my home based businesss. No bosses standing over my shoulder, not worrying about having to take time off to be with my mother, or take her to medical appointments. I was able to cherish my last days with her, and give her my full attention. I am so grateful for that. A few years later, I was blessed to have the opportunity to care for my grandson, while his mother worked.

I feel that I gave him a solid foundation of family, and the nurturing he needed from his grandmother. I am forever blessed by this experience.
I am eternally grateful to have been able to do so. He is the light of my life, and my WHY for continuing to work a home based business instead of going back to a J.O.B.

I continue to grow spiritually and professionally and have many people to thank. I think they know who they are.

Hello, and thank you for visiting my blog!! I am a lifelong resident of Indianapolis Indiana. I am married with two grown children, a son, age 28, and a daughter that is 30 years old. Whew!!! How time has flown! Last year my husband and I were blessed with our first grandchild, Connor James. He is the love of our lives!!

My parents both passed at a young age, their memory lives on, and they are in my thoughts daily. I had a career for many years outside of my home. It was a struggle to keep up with life demands of that "job" and taking care of my family. It was the only way I knew at the time. After searching for many years for a better opportunity, I found a company that I am proud to be associated with. We help many people save money on health care, and also help others learn to work from home to create their own freedom. It has been a very rewarding opportunity. I have always strived to help others in my life in every way that I possibly can.

How to balance family and a ork from home career

When you work from home, you're constantly forced to switch mentally from work mode to family mode within minutes. You need to strike a balance between your professional and personal lives, because they happen in the same place. Here are 10 ways to find that balance:

Minimize distractions. Some people say, "I could never work out of my home because I would have too many distractions." As a rule, minimize trips to the kitchen to get something to eat (except at mealtimes), don't turn on the television, and don't let yourself get sidetracked by personal activities such as cleaning the house or doing laundry.
Know when to stop working. A good friend once told me that she could never have a home office because she wouldn't be able to stop working. When you work from home, you don't have far to go when you get the urge to get one more project finished. If you're single, it probably doesn't matter how long you work; but if you have a family, you'll soon hear complaints from all sides. When you stop working, really stop. Close the door to your office or close up your desk and concentrate on your family.
Don't eat lunch at your desk. When you take a lunch break, leave your office and eat in another part of your home. Changing your scenery and physically removing yourself from your work will help to clear your mind.
Schedule regular "dates" with your spouse and children. A freelance artist I know blocks out every Wednesday afternoon to spend with her husband. They play golf or tennis or go out to lunch. They both know that every Wednesday afternoon is their time to play, no matter what else is going on during the rest of the week.
Take at least one weekday off per month to play. At the beginning of each month, schedule a day when you're going to stay out of your office and do something else. This would be an ideal day to catch up on reading, see a movie you've wanted to see, or just enjoy the outdoors. Let your voice mail take your calls. You'll find that taking a day off will prepare you for a month of productive work.
Make a list of fun things you've always wanted to do, and then start doing them. Maybe you've always wanted to visit the local art museum. Look online for activities and upcoming attractions. If you've lived in the same city for years, consider taking a guided tour of the town. You'll learn more about your city in a few hours than you have in several years. The point is to keep your horizons open and not let your work consume your life.
Use your office for business-related activities only. Instead of going to your office to read your favorite magazine or new mystery, go somewhere else in your home. This will keep you in the mind-set that your office is for business and the rest of your home is for your personal life.
Don't use other parts of your home for business on a regular basis. If you have a favorite chair where you sit and read or watch television, don't use it for work. After a while, you won't feel that it's a place for you to relax and get away.
Include your spouse in your business. Even though you may work in unrelated fields, it's always good to get an outside point of view. Your spouse may be able to offer a solution to a problem you've had on your mind for days. Also, if your spouse understands your work and what it involves, he or she will be less likely to resent all of the hours you put into it.
If you and your spouse work together, avoid talking about business after hours. I know many successful business partners who are also married. They attribute their ability to work and live together to taking the focus off of their work after hours.

How to Build a Successful Online business

Don't let the word "business" scare you. Building an e-business is totally doable and provides the flexibility and income you need to stay home with your children.

The Internet is always open so you can fit your business hours around your family schedule, if you want. Early in the morning before breakfast, during afternoon naptime or in the quiet of the night. You decide when and how long you are going to work each day.

Choose a theme that you are passionate about. Then build your business around it. You may already know what you want to do or you may need some time to figure it out. Perhaps it's been so long that you have forgotten what it is that you actually love to do!

Once you have that building block, what else do you need?

enthusiasm, motivation and creativity
the ability to work hard, learning as you go along
patience and forethought

Just like raising a family, building a successful site takes time.

You also need the right guidance and the right tools, at an affordable price. You don't have the time or money to waste on gimmicks or false promises. Whatever you spend money on, it must produce results.
